[ and she laughs. a moment passes, then: ]

I do not doubt you or your feelings. My hope is that we can be like this together many years down the line.

[ professional as always, she has taken her hair down once she's en route to him, scalp a little sore from having it up for so long. she takes a quick photo with a small smile to send to him. ]

[ she is at the front door of his temporary residence, her hair pulled back up in a simple twist, a golden pin keeping it all away from her face. ]

[Rilan doesn't answer the text, but immediately moves to the front door. Finding Sola there brings an easy smile to his face, and he grasps her hands at once to pull her inside. Once she's there, his hands cup her face for a moment before he bends to give her a kiss in greeting. He's no more dressed now than he was in the last picture he sent, but he notices that Sola has tidied herself up since her picture.]

You put your hair back up again, hm?

[If it was easy enough to put again in the car it will be easy enough to put up once more before she leaves. Rilan tugs at the pin so that her hair can spill down her back.]

[ there they are in plain sight, a little more daring than before, a little more captivated by each other than they were yesterday. her eyes find his face first, exchanging smiles, before they even drop down to enjoy all that skin revealed to her. they kiss as she steps inside and she gently grips his upper arms, holding him there. ]

I like to be presentable, [ sola chuckles as he does as she expects and her hair tumbles down her shoulders. ] I thought it would be easier for massaging. [ sensible as always. ]

Normally you'd be right, but I thought I'd start with the top of your head. [He kisses the top of her head then, and gently reaches behind her to shut the door.] Do you want anything to drink first? I have water and juice, or something stronger of course.

[His hand slips down behind her, exerting a little more pressure to usher her inside. Something inside him relaxes to have her there now, and he's in no rush to start since she's left work to see him.]

[ he kisses the top of her head and she briefly shuts her eyes the way a kitten might when kissed or pet. it's followed by a wry smile as she steps further into the place, more relaxed now that she isn't thinking about arms deals or trade regulations. ] Water, please. I do have to return to the office tomorrow.

I have already eaten. [ she turns her head slightly to look up at him. ] I promise to take more meals often with my husband when we are married.

[He didn't ask for her to take more meals with him, but his expression grows warm and fond as he looks down at her after she promises him that.]

I would like that very much.

[His thumb strokes against her back as he leans in to kiss her again. It's hard to resist now that they've opened that door, though he's careful not to take advantage of the tacit permission he has. When he pulls away, it's to leave her there to fetch water.]

And I promise [he says, over his shoulder] to try and go to wherever you are working to make that easier to accomplish more often.

[ she steps further into the house, folding her hands behind her back. the kiss he leaves on her lips still tingles and she briefly touches her mouth, wanting another one. though sola is by and large unshakable, rilan has gotten what he wanted through those messages, leaving her wanting him even more as the seconds pass.

she keeps her hands neatly folded behind her, leaning casually against the doorframe to watch him. ]

I would like the company, especially when I must travel.

[Rilan returns shortly with a glass of chilled water and offers it to Sola, fully aware of the way he's watched as he moves. He enjoys it. This may not be his natural form, but it is one that he feels as much himself in, and one that Sola is attracted to. That matters to him very much, which is part of why he's so comfortable in letting her look her fill.]

I'd be glad to spend more time with you, especially if it means also getting to explore more of this planet.

[When she's taken the glass, his hands return to her body, resting at her waist and thumbs rubbing idle circles over her skin through the fabric of her clothes.]

I have a few places in mind for tonight, but if you trust my intentions I think the bed would be the most comfortable for you.

And other planets when we have council meetings and conferences, [ she adds helpfully before taking a drink of water. it feels good and she had not realized how long it had been since she last drank. her throat no longer feeling dry, she clears it again and leans happily into his touch. ] Only when you're able to. I know that you will make some plans for yourself as well.

[ with a chuckle, she nods at his suggestion. they both certainly like to push certain buttons without committing to the full act after all, though sola finds nothing wrong with that either. it's healthy for most couples to test out their intimacy before they lay with each other in the marriage bed. ] And, I trust your intentions. Let us go.
