[ He Ming arrives soon enough with his multitool and one of the remaining fruits. It's still plump, its dark purple skin smooth and almost velvety. He cradles it in both hands until he's near enough to greet her with a wave. ]

Hey! I brought the stuff.

[ sola smiles and pushes a chair out for him to join her at the table where she has her tablet open to do a bit of research, licking her lips thoughtfully. it does look appetizing and unusual, but her tastes have always been a bit sensitive. ] Come and sit!

[ He Ming settles into the chair. Her poise always makes him a bit less slapdash. Not out of shame, really, it just seems weird to be as overt and loud as he is with others around her.

But eating and sharing food is something of an equalizer, as always. He extends the knife and rolls the fruit thoughtfully under his palm. ]

Should I just cut it on the table?

[ that seems to be part of sola's powers, getting people to settle down in certain moments without even trying. she opens two napkins and spreads them across the table for the both of them to enjoy the food together, smiling up at him. ]

I brought this for us. I think I am okay to eat it if you do not mind halving it with me. I think it would be nice. [ she leans forward on the table, folding her arms across it and gesturing for him to begin. ] If you please.
